Europe Direct Contact Centre extends working hours to handle Brexit-related questions
The Europe Direct Contact Centre EDCC https://europa.eu/european-union/contact/europe-direct-answering-your-questions-about-eu_en ) has reinforced its contact centre service for citizens, businesses and other stakeholders to deal with questions related to Brexit (toll free by telephone or by e-mail/web form in all 24 EU languages).
Full priority will be given to speedy and high-quality replies to Brexit-related enquiries by the EDCC during regular opening hours during weekdays. Extra weekend opening of the Brexit helpline in at least 3 languages (English, French and German) will be ensured during the weekend of 12-13 December 2020, following the December European Council meeting, as well as during the weekend of 9-10 January 2021 (except in case of low demand in the preceding week).
All Brexit-related enquiries submitted via the EDCC web form during the official closure period of the EDCC between 28 December 2020 and 1 January 2021 will be treated with utmost urgency following the reopening of the EDCC on 4 January (2-3 January being a weekend, when the EDCC will be closed).
A reference to Brexit-related information material will also be included in the automatic reply to citizens who contact the EDCC during the closure period.
