The future United Kingdom-European Union cooperation in this area will be negotiated during the transitional period.

The United Kingdom exits the European Union without a Withdrawal Agreement

It has not yet been clear if and how the United Kingdom will still have the right to participate in the EU’s programs in the case of a no-deal Brexit, especially taking into account that the UK will immediately become a third state.

As regards Erasmus+, the EU has already adopted a Regulation, binding to all member-states and to be implemented immediately after a no-deal Brexit. This Regulations safeguards that  all students and teachers, British and EU citizens, currently in the EU or the UK respectively within the framework of an Erasmus+ program, will be able to complete their current education cycle for the purpose of this program.
